The children's author David Walliams parted ways with publishing house.
Best-selling writer for children and comedian David Walliams has parted ways with his publisher HarperCollins UK, according to an announcement.
An official for the company said: "Following a thorough review, and with the guidance of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish future works by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the conclusion was reached following an investigation into reports of inappropriate behaviour directed at female individuals.
The firm declined to specify the motivations for this action, noting: "We do not comment on confidential company decisions."
A Highly Successful Writing Journey
Walliams ranks among Britain's most successful children's authors, with sales exceeding in excess of 60 million copies worldwide in five dozen languages.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins in 2008.
Some of his works, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into small-screen adaptations.
He has published more than 40 books in total, which features a holiday title titled *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins in October.
From Screen to Page
His career breakthrough occurred on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE in 2017 for his services to charity and the arts.
This development follows the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO in October.
