Two Men Face Charges Over Heathrow Alleged Pepper Spray Assault
Two individuals are now facing charges in connection with a suitcase robbery where a substance thought to be pepper spray led to people being hurt at London's Heathrow Airport.
Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, now face two counts of robbery and two counts of using a harmful chemical, as confirmed by court officials.
The charges follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Earlier that day, two female travelers had their luggage taken after getting out of a car park lift, authorities reported.
A three-year-old girl was among those injured in the event. A total of five individuals required hospital care and were later discharged.
This event – described by police as was not part of a series and deemed non-terroristic – caused disruptions to rail services and the temporary blocking of the main airport road tunnel and the T3 parking area for a limited duration.
